The timber passive house

The Sistem Costruzioni passive house is a timber building that combines insulating capacity and thermal inertia with ventilation and heat recovery systems.

Reduction of operating expenses

By ensuring perfect thermal insulation and controlled mechanical ventilation, the passive house radically reduces operating expenses compared to a conventional home, simultaneously providing benefits in terms of construction cost and environmental performance.

All these advantages are possible thanks to the careful design of the ventilation system, the airtightness of the building envelope and the reduction of thermal bridges.

With the publication of legislative decree 63/2013 in the Official Journal of the Italian Republic, Italy officially adopted European Council Directive 2010/31/EU. This means that by 31 December 2018 all public buildings must be converted to Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) status and private buildings must also become NZEB by 1 January 2021.
