Technological innovation in the field of wooden constructions allows today to create structures used for functions that require high standards of safety and resistance. Precisely for this reason we used the Xlam system to build the new Photosynthetic & Microbiological laboratories in Sesto Fiorentino, the spin off of the University of Florence active in the field of photobioreactors, food and feed, cosmetics and fuels.

We were thus able to create a building consisting of a ground floor with mezzanine areas, characterized by high fire resistance, rapid drying of the surfaces and good acoustic insulation. Furthermore, the Xlam panels have made it possible to obtain a structure capable of withstanding high loads and having excellent anti-seismic characteristics.
